This year, Open Doors will be handling the Amanda Strong Holiday Food giveaway, due to illness and lack of a distribution facility. Our community has been very generous in the past with their donations of different foods that we provide with our holiday meals. This year these programs are needed even more, so families in need will be able to enjoy Christmas with their loved ones around the dinner table. In addition to the Turkeys we will provide, we also need the following items:
Canned Foods:
Boxed Foods:
Pineapple
Stuffing (6 oz)
Mixed Fruit
Cheezy Potatoes (au gratin or scalloped)
Sliced Peaches
Mac & Cheese
Cranberry Sauce
Jello (any flavor)
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Cream of Chicken Soup
Donations can be dropped off any time in the donation box on the west side of our building, at 19360 Tomlinson Rd., just north of 191st Street.
Our clients will be very grateful for your generosity.
Open Doors is Adding Additional Hours to better serve its’ clients. Beginning Monday, October 12 the front room of the Pantry will be open to clients from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. She began her service in 1996 and continues today as the Pantry’s Food Coordinator. She is a member of the Board of Directors, and is involved in just about every part of the Pantry’s operations. We are very proud of Margie and for her receiving of this honor.
